My father was very ill with terminal cancer and was in my home under hospice care. He wanted to secure his last will and testament and make his last wishes known but was not able to leave his bed. I needed someone to notarize documents for my father. A dear friend referred Christopher Brown to me. Christopher responded immediately to our plight. He came to my father at his bedside and with respect and kindness proceeded to tend to my father’s wishes. In the course of documentation it was necessary to secure witnesses. We didn’t have anyone who could attend. My father was very weak and time was of the essence because without the witnesses his wishes would not be fulfilled. Christopher left our home and returned an hour later with two lovely women who witnessed my dad signing his will.

 

Christopher informed us of changes (effective January 2008) in the California Notary Law, which no longer allows the phrase “known personally to me.” He went above and beyond the call of duty in every way for my father. My dad died the following day. If Christopher had not acted quickly in our behalf and extended himself in bringing the witnesses our documents would not have been completed. Christopher helped my father, me, and family in a dire time of need. He was there not only as a notary but as a person with heart and concern for others.
